Fentanyl: China’s Favorite Export (Besides TikTok)
The U.S. lost over 100,000 people to drug overdoses in 2022—most from fentanyl. But where does this deadly synthetic opioid actually come from? Here’s a hint: it wasn’t cooked up in some shady RV like Breaking Bad.
Turns out, most fentanyl precursors come straight from China, where chemical companies manufacture the raw ingredients and ship them to Mexican cartels, who then smuggle the final product into the U.S. And before you ask—yes, China’s government knows this is happening.
🧐 The real question is… why aren’t they stopping it?
- 2019: After pressure from the Trump administration, China briefly cracked down on fentanyl shipments. Overdose deaths dropped.
- 2021-Present: As U.S.-China relations soured, China’s enforcement vanished, and fentanyl production skyrocketed.
- Today: The U.S. fights a chemical war without bullets, while China profits and cartels expand their business.
This isn’t just an unfortunate accident—it’s a perfect example of asymmetric warfare:
✅ Destabilization: Drug addiction weakens the economy and destroys communities.
✅ Financial Profit: Billions flow through supply chains with little oversight.
✅ Plausible Deniability: China says, "We can’t control what private companies do!" (While running a surveillance state.)

📢 Watch, Share, and Ask Yourself:
1️⃣ If China could stop fentanyl production in 2019, why can’t they do it now?
2️⃣ Why are Western governments so slow to hold China accountable?
3️⃣ If fentanyl is a national security threat, why isn’t it treated like one?
